Join me for a 2 day workshop and learn to make custom pieces like mine at my studio in Stoney Creek, Ontario!
Starting this summer, I will be offering a handbuilding workshop where I show you how to create your own custom matchbox, vase, coaster set, and more! Learn tips and tricks on how to make real, food safe ceramic pieces in free form organic shapes.
Classes are designed for 4-6 students where they will be supplied with their own tools, clay, paint, and apron. I will be there to show you some wicked cool demos and tricks of the trade that I have used and built on since I took a variety of pottery classes in 2017 at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto.
Whether it is your first time using clay, have some experience, or are an intermediate artist - you will have fun working with me and will always leave having learned something new.
Workshops include 2 days - the first one focusing on introductory demonstrations for building greenware pieces, and the second for painting and glazing bisque fired pieces. During the first class, you will learn some key primary techniques that will serve as the building blocks to creating all kinds of cool shapes. You will see 3+ demos during the class and be given hands on guidance along the way.
On day 2, your pieces will be fired and ready to decorate. Don't worry if you are scared of a paintbrush - I have lots of really cool underglaze transfers, stamps, and carbon paper so I can help you create something extremely cool, custom, and unique. I'll even show you how I make some of my more advanced pieces which might inspire you to keep coming back.
After the 2nd class is over, your pieces will be high fired and available for pick up. I can't wait to help you bring your ideas to life!
